#7 You Know What Else My Indie Pub Research Revealed? Interesting Author Website Finds
Other Fascinating Finds on Author Websites:
Many indie authors have ARC reviewer request forms on their websites (smart!).
Some have merch shops on Redbubble.
Others use Etsy stores for signed copies (that never would’ve occurred to me on my own. It’s genius).
“Buy Me a Coffee” tip jars for authors—wait, people actually donate??
Custom sprayed/stenciled edges on self-pub books (I need to do this one day).
Authors putting Amazon & Goodreads reviews in their marketing blurbs (I didn’t know you could do that??).
Some have stores built into their website selling their books (#FutureGoals)
Some have text sign-ups on their sites so you get texts for book announcements (So smart because I check my phone waaayyyy before I check email 😬 Brilliant)
Authors really use Patreon to post unedited WIPs?!
Everyone and their brother has a newsletter 😭(I had a sneaking suspicion going in but if I sign up for all of them now, I’ll get overwhelmed. This one has been labeled a future problem.)
