#8 Back to Social Media. Picking the Platforms that Make the Most Sense (For Me)

Like I said, social media is NOT my strong suit. But it’s time to suck it up buttercup. It’s a necessary evil if I want to do this right, so!

What Platforms I Decided to Tackle

  1. Instagram

  2. Pinterest (I’ll let you know how it goes/if it’s worth it in the end!)

  3. X

  4. Threads

  5. YouTube (Eventually)

  6. TikTik (Sigh. Also eventually)

  7. Facebook (Ugh. If I have to. Even if it’s just to run ads later on)

Is that too many platforms? Probably. But my plan is to try them all out and see what works for me. Once I’ve determined what works, I’ll probably pare down to a more reasonable number. As always, I’ll let you know how it goes!

Next up:

  • Make Google Alerts for the authors in my “who I want to be when I grow up” list to track their marketing moves.

  • Actually using the social platforms I picked. Wish me luck. 😬

  • Building up my courage to maybe-kinda-think about using TikTok for marketing 😨
